Gaza Travel Agency, a collective of Palestinian, Jewish, and international volunteers, presents a speculative travel agency at Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven. Through design, the Right of Return is made visible, tangible and hopeful.

The Ask

It began in July 2024, when we got introduced to Bring Gaza Home, an initiative advocating for the Right of Return for Palestinians. We met with the team and explore the question: “What can design do for the return of Palestinians?”

A few months later, we were a team of 10 volunteers co-creating a brand identity and social media content while learning about Palestine, its history, diversity, ongoing occupation, and resilient, hopeful culture.
In April one of the members ask: “Why don’t we bring a travel agency to Dutch Design Week?”
We were on board, though worried about the workload.

Gaza Travel Agency was featured in Dezeen Magazine—one of the world's most prominent design publications! During 18 to 26th October, the Gaza Travel Agency generated remarkable results, attracting an estimated 6,300 visitors. The initiative was featured in Trouw, one of the Netherlands' most respected newspapers, more than 100 new followers on Instagram and raising more than €6,000 in crowdfunding to finance the project.
